There I was, completely by accident, in the Mazama Windermere real estate office working on the live music blog for theMethow Valley 4th of July holiday weekend. When low and behold a very nice gentleman came in and said I see you are looking at some You Tube live music. I said well you must be a musician to be so interested in this band, I can just tell.
None other than Tom Landus from the Paperboys. was standing right in front of me and as down to earth as you can get. After my jumping up and down and yelling enthusiastically about how much I love the Paperboys and could I get his autograph, well what choice did Tom have but to sign his new CD and give it to me. What a great way to learn about the concert in Chelan! You will not want to miss him if you are any where near Chelan. and that is the true story of how I learned Tom is playing tomorrow night in Chelan.
Oh and by the way the new CD well Tom and the boys have knocked it out of the park.
Check out how great this band really is:

Early Summer hiking season is upon us in beautiful Methow Valley and yet one might think that the hiking is going to be just ho humm because of all the snow still hanging about the high peaks of the North Cascades. Although the Pasayten Wilderness and the spine of the Chelan Sawtooths has substantial snow pack on them, there are still some pretty amazing hikes to be had in the Okanogan National Forest that are absolutely 100% snow free with world class scenary at the end of the hard climb to reward your efforts. You won’t find most of these special places with a trail map though!
